Emilija picked her 5 favorite holiday picks from GIR Selection. Take a look! Emilija Radojičić is a visual artist currently living and working in Belgrade. She first developed her artistic practice through drawings, paintings, and graphics. Recently, her artistic research has led her to installations and sculptures, where her ideas and visions are transformed from a two-dimensional into a three-dimensional form of objects and tapestries.
Love at first sight! A new approach to natural materials such as wood, and a return to a form of ‘minimal consumption’ centered around the right products that are essential, nostalgia for the Fifties and a return to Scandinavian design are just some of the reasons that make Daybed such an attractive proposition today.
- Muuto – Restore Basket
This is a very practical basket for me because I can hold wool, scissors, threads, crayons and all kinds of materials for work in it. I think it’s made from a strong felt so it’s very durable and does not collect dust. It looks great in any interior!
- GIR – Totem Shelf
Since last year when I saw this shelf at the furniture fair, it was one of the favorite things in GIR Store. This shelf design originates from the logic of packing construction elements by the principle of stacking smaller-into-bigger things. This approach resulted in tilting the lateral sides and gradual shortening of the storage space. Assembling the shelf module upwards creates a harmonious stepped structure which has a suitable form to be positioned by the wall or stand freely in space.
- Ferm Living – Ripple Collection
They are just nice, that’s it!
- Normann Copenhagen – Geo Vacuum Jug
I love tea and various teapots. This reminds me of some Bauhaus period and it would be interesting to pair this fashionable teapot with some earthy clay tea cups.
