The Compose Series is a study in creating furniture from essential components, making the sum greater than its parts. The resulting two and three-seater sofas are roomy yet refined; quality and comfort joined by a contemporary Scandinavian aesthetic. The Compose Sofa family comes in a range of textiles with either black or natural wood legs.
Having graduated (from Bergen Academy of Art and Design and Oslo National Academy of Art) in 2000, Torbjørn Anderssen and Espen Voll co-founded Norway Says, a design group that brought an increased international awareness to Norwegian designers, while helping to bring Norway’s emerging design scene to the forefront of the world stage. Norway Says was awarded the Söderberg Prize in 2007, and its work culminated in 2009’s 10-year retrospective at the National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design in Oslo.
Anderssen & Voll was set up in 2009 and has since collaborated with some of Scandinavia’s most celebrated brands, including Muuto, Kvadrat, Erik Jørgensen, Wrong for Hay, Menu, as well as prominent Italian companies such as Magis, Foscarini and LaPalma.
